The course assessment is a combination of written questions, case studies/ projects, role-plays and class presentation.

Qualification Description

This qualification provides insight on managing operational plans, use of emotional intelligence, nurturing workplace relationships, enhancing teams’ effectiveness, managing employee performance, facilitating continuous improvement, managing budgets & financial plans, managing meetings, managing projects, managing work priorities and enhancing quality in customer service.

After completing Diploma of Leadership & Management, students can apply for following job roles:

Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer

Eligible students can apply for RPL. All RPL applications must be supported by verifiable required evidence. RPL assessment fee applies.

Credit transfer is available if the unit code and unit titles are of exact match.

Pathway

Once completed the BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management students can undertake:

  • BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management or
  • Bachelor of Business or
  • Bachelor of Management programs.

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for any of the units of competency contained within it. This course is available to all international students and Barton College requires that students are able to provide evidence that they:

  • Have demonstrated an IELTS level at score of least 5.5 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old) or demonstration of successful completion of at least General English at Upper Intermediate or English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level.
  • Have a suitable level of language, literacy and numeracy to complete course requirements with or without additional support that Barton College is able to provide.
  • Have successfully completed Australian year 12 or equivalent.
  • Are at least at age of 18 on the date of course commencement.
  • Student must have sound digital literacy and access to working internet.
  • Please Note: All the students commencing this course are required to complete the LLN test on the orientation day to assist the Barton College to identify student's needs for additional support during their study with the Barton College. If the student is opting ELICOS packaged with any vocational course, the student is required to demonstrate IELTS of 5.0 or equivalent.
